The Chapel in the Orchard

Interior, Old Towne Grove Chapel

Old Towne Grove ChapelJune remains the most popular month for weddings.  My father’s little Old Towne Grove Chapel in the orchard next to our garden is averaging 2 or 3 weddings a day on June Saturdays.  Kay responded to a past blog on the chapel and asked for a picture…two are included.

This charming little chapel holds only about 20 people.  But most couples choose to exchange their vows in the gazebo next to the giant fir tree while their guests congregate under the trees.

Come visit our farmstead in Groveland, Illinois–you can’t miss it on Springfield Road in the center of the village.  I recommend it as a road trip to refuel your spiritual reserves as well as a choice for romantic nuptials!

      Yolanda,

My father, Erwin Towne, owns and operates the two chapels–Old Towne Grove and Garden Grove–both of which are adjacent to our home. My father lives in the farm house and we live in the barn on the chapel farmstead, which is why the Old Towne Grove Chapel appears in our pictures and blog.

Contact Erwin Towne at 309.387.6375 for information on available dates and prices for the chapels. The smaller chapel holds only about 20 but rental includes the garden and large gazebo where most couples are married in the warmer months. Garden Grove Chapel holds 90 and is carpeted. The bride’s dressing room and restrooms for both chapels are also in the Garden Grove Chapel building. Both chapels are available year round and are heated and air conditioned.

      Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!
      Sharon

We are looking forward to sharing our special day at the chapel in a few weeks! God bless and take care!🙂

I am thinking about having my wedding here. What is the max amount of people it can hold?

    • Sharon L. Clemens says:

      Melissa,

Go to the OLD TOWNE GROVE WEDDING CHAPEL Facebook page for more on the wedding chapel. It is operated by my father, Erwin Towne. Call him for details at 309-387-6375. There are two chapels, one with inside seating of up to 80-90. The small chapel only holds about 12 but most have their wedding outside under the trees with the bride and groom posed at the gazebo. About 8 can also sit inside the gazebo. Congratulations on your wedding!
      Best,
      Sharon
