The book that started it all– The Younger Girl–A Door County Love Story,  is now available as a second edition on Amazon in Kindle format.  TYG was my first print novel and the first of four books to follow.  Although I am using the same cover for the Kindle e-book, what resides between the covers is quite a different story.  The plot structure is much the same, with significant embellishments.  But the writing is much improved.  This second edition of The Younger Girl is a testimony to what I have learned about crisp writing and improved style in the last twelve years.

Vintage copies of The Younger Girl, first edition, are available in print from Amazon.  But I would recommend the e-book read.   TYG  introduces foundational characters reprised in Door County Cottage and the next book, soon to be published, Door County Cabin.  Although it is not necessary to have read previous books in the series, I find it more interesting to know the background of characters in order to have the richest vicarious experience…don’t you?

TYG  is especially tender and romantic as the story captures the soft summer of a young girl’s first love.  Dannie and Tony are heart-stopping characters with the charisma and integrity to carry their legacy through friends and family introduced in the novels to follow.

If the world of digital books is new to you, tapping into this rich resource is as easy as downloading the Amazon app to your smart phone or Ipad.  Of course, you can purchase the Amazon Kindle, created just for e-book reading.  But I was thrilled to be able to purchase my first e-book, Timeless–A Door County Love Story, just by clicking on my Amazon account.  The title is AUTOMATICALLY sent to every device on which I have the Amazon app! How cool is that!

How lovely it would be if I could re-invent myself in a second edition.  But then, the author is the story…so I think I just did.  Enjoy.  The Younger Girl is an exceptional summer read and I guarantee you will sigh when the story ends.
