E-books on the PC

So, this is a big DUH on my part…  I have NOT been telling my readers that e-books can be downloaded to their PC.  Yup.  Not necessary to buy a Kindle [Amazon] or own a smart phone or Ipad or Ipod.  Of course, the Amazon Kindle is specially designed for reading virtual books.  But I also downloaded the Amazon Kindle app. to my Android phone and can read books on my Droid screen.

With a bit more research, I found the Amazon site that enables you to download the Kindle reading app. for free.  It works with Windows 7, Vista or XP software.  Then, you just read e-books on the PC screen.   Here’s the link.

Once you have allowed the download, Amazon Kindle will create a library page on your PC.  Then, go to Amazon and shop the e-book Kindle store or sign up for the lending library.  Anything you choose on Amazon e-books will automatically be downloaded to all appliances you own that have the Kindle app.
